About Alfred Shemweta

Alfred Shemweta has roots from Tanzania and currently a Physical Education Teacher in Sweden. Alfred is also an experienced Interpreter, Masseur (Sports Massage Therapist), Author, Sports-, Health- and Education Consultant and a long distance runner with 1999 and 2000 victories in Stockholm Marathon among his merits.

He has a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Science obtained from Linnaeus University which, among other things, enriches his coaching competence as per European Union Coaching Qualification Framework. Alfred has also a Bachelor's Degree in Pedagogy (Health) obtained at Stockholm University. It merges well his previous training and tasks in Health Promotion with academic compentence involving Public Health.

In 2018, Alfred joined a Programme for Vocational Teacher Education at Linköping University which leads to Career and Technical/Technology Education (CTE) teaching. CTE teachers teach skillbased occupational subjects to students in secondary schools, technical schools, community colleges, institutions of vocational education and in some cases at universities of applied sciences. This programme is one of the licensure requirements to become a CTE teacher in Sweden 

In 2000, The Huddinge Municipality and The Federation of Private Enterprises (Företagarna) in Huddinge – Sweden conferred a distinguished Municipal's Sporting Award on Alfred Shemweta for his efforts that contributes to municipality's good PR and for being such a good example to the future generation. Consequently, Alfred Shemweta's name is engraved on the Municipality's Golden Notice Board.
